LADBROKES TO DONATE TO JESSIE MAY
World Grand Prix title sponsor Ladbrokes will donate £100 for every century break made during this week’s tournament to Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home.
The tournament at the Guild Hall in Preston runs from Monday to Sunday, with 32 of the world’s top players chasing a first prize of £100,000. Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby, Judd Trump, John Higgins and Shaun Murphy are among those battling for the trophy.
And for every century, Ladbrokes will donate £100 to World Snooker’s official charity. Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home, based in Bristol, provides a hospice at home service for terminally ill children, offering care to families in the Bristol area.
The same pledge was made last year and there were 25 centuries, leading to a donation of £2,500.
Adrian Osman from Ladbrokes said: “We are delighted to make this pledge again to a fantastic and deserving charity which does incredible work for children and their families.
“We’re looking forward to a sensational week of snooker in Preston with all of the sport’s top stars among the line up. Hopefully they can show their break building skills and beat last year’s tally of 25 centuries.”
The Ladbrokes World Grand Prix will receive extensive live coverage from ITV4.
