QUEST TO TELEVISE CHINA OPEN

Quest and Eurosport will be simulcasting all live sessions of World Snooker's China Open from Monday 27 March until Sunday 2 April 2017. This is the first time that Quest will air this tournament and adds to the growing snooker inventory that kicked off with the Home Nations series in 2016.

The China Open is the longest-running world ranking snooker event staged in China, dating back to 2005 and was won by Ding Junhui, aged just 18, beating Stephen Hendry. This proved to be a catalyst for the explosion of interest in snooker, which paved the way to make it one of the country's most popular sports. The tournament brings snooker's elite to the Chinese capital to compete for the iconic gold shield. Last year saw Judd Trump claim his second China Open title with a dominant 10-4 victory over Ricky Walden. This year's prize pots totals an impressive £510,000 with the winner pocketing a generous £85,000. The tournament is the penultimate ranking event prior to the season-ending World Championship - the pinnacle of the snooker season.

Quest and Eurosport will be broadcasting every session all week, however Quest will air the final's concluding session exclusively LIVE at 1230pm on Sunday 2nd April. Eurosport 2 will show full final highlights at 6pm. Commentary comes from 1986 World Champion Joe Johnson, former world number six Mike Hallett, David Hendon and Phillip Studd.
