The closing date for players to enter is Wednesday, September 25th, and more of the sport’s cue kings are expected to join to field by that date. The draw and format will be released soon afterward.
A spokesman for World Snooker said: “It is shaping up to be a top-class field in Crawley with many of the best players on the planet battling for the title. This event was staged at K2 for the first time last year and we saw a fabulous tournament. This year we’re expecting an even better event and we have some exciting innovations planned which we will be announcing in the coming weeks.
“With less than four weeks to go until the first balls are struck, we’re urging fans to get their seats booked fast as certain sessions will sell out.”
The 19.com English Open is the first of the 2019-20 season Home Nations series, with a £1 million bonus up for grabs for any player who can win all four events. It will be televised on Eurosport and Quest.
Tickets are ON SALE NOW and start at just £10. With up to nine matches in a single session, it’s a fantastic chance for fans to see a wide range of the best players in the world for the price of a single ticket.
