“John Astley is a strong player and I knew I had to be playing well to have a chance of progressing but today it wasn’t meant to be. After poor preparation the week before in Shanghai, with losing my cue and not returning to the UK until the weekend I was still feeling the effects of a bad week with a lack of practice which unfortunately meant I was unable to produce a top performance but credit to John who was very solid in all departments and deserved his win. I want to say another big thank you to RKG Snooker for their continued support this season.”
