Mark Selby retains International Championship title with 10-7 victory over Mark Allen

Mark Selby retained his International Championship title after holding off a Mark Allen fightback to prevail 10-7 in Daqing.
Selby appeared to be cruising to victory when he opened up a 6-2 lead, but Allen stroked in a 137 clearance to win the final frame of the first session.
The world number one then moved into 8-3 and 9-5 leads in the evening session only for Allen to hit back again to reduce the arrears to 9-7.
But Selby got over the line in the 17th frame of a possible 19 to seal his 13th ranking title and pocket a cheque for £150,000.
Selby is 3/1 to retain his World Championship title at the Crucible next year, with Ronnie O'Sullivan 9/2 and Judd Trump 6/1. Allen is a 33/1 chance.
