A new record set by Pankaj Advani in Billiards.
19-time World Champion in Cue Sports, Pankaj Advani set a new record yesterday during the National Billiards Selection Camp held at Bengaluru for the selection of contingent for upcoming World Billiards Championship 2018 at Yangon, Myanmar.
In the Long-Up format of Billiards for 500-Up (single game), Pankaj scored a break of 500 from start to finish while playing against Rupesh Shah andset
new record. Earlier Dhruv Sitwala had made a break of 400 from start to finish during World Open Billiards Championship held at Leeds in the year 2016.
In overall ranking, Pankaj Advani secured top position. However, he has a direct entry being defending champion for this year’s World Billiards. The other qualifiers for World Billiards are Dhvaj Haria (IOCL), Rupesh Shah (ONGC), Bhaskar Balachandra (Karnataka), Alok Kumar (ONGC).
