Aditya sails through to the round of 32 in International Championship

In a major professional ranking tournament, International Championship, Indian ace cueist Aditya Mehta comfortably beats Glamorgan boy Ryan Day by 6-2 frames in the round of 64 match in China.
RKG Snooker sponsored Aditya started with a bang by compiling a magnificent century break of 104 to take the very first frame by 104-28. The 23rd ranked Ryan came back strongly to win the second frame by 91-29.
Aditya then shows his composure and class & won the next three frames by 86-0, 64-34 and 95-0. At 4-1 Aditya was cruising towards the next round but Ryan came back in the match with a break of 77 to take the sixth frame by 91-1.
The seventh and crucial frame goes to the wire and a mistake from Ryan cost him the frame when only Pink & Black was on the table and he gave the opportunity to Aditya to finish the frame by 67-54 and take unassessable lead of 5-2.
Eighth frame was the most closely contested as Ryan started with a good break of 62 but fails to capitalise and Aditya then finished the game in style by compiling a classical break of 64 to take the frame and match by 64-62.
He will now meet 11th ranked “The Gentleman” English player Joe Perry in the round of 32 match on 25.10.2016 at 05.00PM IST.
RKG Snooker wishes him best of luck for the next match as well as for the tournament.
