Alok wins National Masters Snooker championship
India’s most versatile cueists, Alok Kumar has won the National Masters Snooker Championship today by defeating his state-mate Dharminder Singh Lilly 3-0 in the final.
By winning this title, Alok has become the first cueists in the country who has wontitle in all original forms of cuesport games in his career so far i.e. National Junior Billiards and Snooker, National Billiards and Snooker, National 8Ball and 9Ball Pool and now the National Masters Snooker.
Worth mentioning that Alok Kumar has won also the international medals and titles in various disciplines of cuesports. He is the winner of Asian Billiards, Asian Snooker and had remained No.2 in World Billiards earlier. He also won Bronze medal in 8Ball Pool during Asian Games 2010 at Guangzhou.
Having today’s title, he is now qualified to take part in World Masters Snooker at Myanmar during November and World Team Snooker (pairing with Dharminder Singh Lilly) at Egypt in December this year.
The Prize distribution ceremony was graced by Shri S.S. Chhabra, Secretary, Sports Authority of India who gave away trophies to winner and runner.
Mr. Vivek Pathak, head of Cue Sports India was also present at the prize distribution ceremony.
