On Day-5 , Former world champion Peter Ebdon  defeated Jack Lisowski and won 10-9. Alexander Ursenbacher edged out Scott Donaldson by 10-9.

Hammad Miah won by 10-7 against Martin O'Donnell. Whereas Yu Delu gained victory over Robbie Williams by 10-7. Martin Gould beat  John Astley 10-6.

Meanwhile, several other highly fancied qualifiers progressed to the next stage -   Zhou Yuelong,  Jamie Jones, Yan Bingtao, Alexander Ursenbacher, Akani Songsermsawad and David Gilbert.
