Dechawat Poomjaeng ended the hopes of Women’s World Champion Ng On Yee with a 4-1 victory to reach the final day of Q School event three in Burton.
Charismatic Thai Poomjaeng is bidding to return to the tour after dropping off at the end of the 2016/17 campaign. He requires just two further victories to secure a two-year card.
On Yee will leave with the consolation of today’s announcement that she is assured of a place on the Challenge Tour for next season.
Former world number 18 Barry Pinches is through to the final day after a 4-0 whitewash victory over Charlie Walters. The Canary fired in breaks of 65 and 60 on his way to the win.
