Dhvaj Haria has a great day
Rising star of Indian Billiards, Dhvaj Haria settled for the Bronze medal in the Jim Williamson Memorial Open Billiards Championship held at Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds, England.
Dhvaj was in terrific form and reached the medals round defeating Englishmen Adam Clarke & Robert Hall and then his compatriot Siddharth Parikh in quarter finals. Later he lost to multiple time World champion Peter Gilchrist of Singapore in a closely fought battle in semis. The points difference was only 36 points after 90 minutes semi-final match that went in favour of Peter Gilchrist.
During the match Peter crafted breaks of 52, 123, 194 whereas Dhvaj strongly responded with breaks of 52, 43, 225, 60 and lost the match by 36 points to settle for Bronze.
Later, David Causier of England wins the championship defeating Peter Gilchrist by 395 points scoring 695 against 300 of Peter.
