Judd Trump’s victory at the Betfred World Championship lifted him to second place in the official two-year world rankings at the end of the 2018/19 season.

The top prize of £500,000 saw Trump jump five places in the list from seventh to second, and he finishes the season behind only Ronnie O’Sullivan.

Trump becomes the first player ever to earn over £1 million (from ranking and invitation events plus high break and 147 prizes) in a single campaign, with a tally of £1,098,400.

After O’Sullivan and Trump, the top four is made up by Mark Williams and Neil Robertson. Crucible runner-up John Higgins remains in the fifth position; he won £200,000 for reaching the final but £160,000 came off his tally as he was also runner-up two years ago.

Mark Selby, who held the number one position for an unbroken spell of 49 months until O’Sullivan took over in March, is now down to the sixth place. Mark Allen and Kyren Wilson complete the top eight.

David Gilbert reached the semi-finals at the Crucible and his £100,000 reward sees him climb four places to 12th. Gary Wilson was the other losing semi-finalist and he jumps 12 paces to 20th.

Season’s biggest movers

During the 2018/19 season, Jack Lisowski, David Gilbert and Stephen Maguire all gained places among the top 16, replacing Ryan Day, Anthony McGill and Ali Carter.

Zhao Xintong was the only player to start on £0 and climb into the top 64 – he is up to 59th having earned £100,500. Lu Ning, Sam Craigie, Tian Pengfei, Joe O’Connor and Mei Xiwen all climbed into the top 80 having started with £0.

Trump topped the 2018/19 season one-year rankings   (money earned in ranking events alone) with £852,000, ahead of Robertson with £640,500 and O’Sullivan with £503,500.
