EUROSPORT EXPERT PICKS - NIKOS HITS THE FRONT

Greece's Nikos Alexopoulos has taken the lead in our fantasy snooker game for Eurosport's expert commentators.
Alexopoulos successfully picked Shaun Murphy as the winner of the Jojobet.com Gibraltar Open to score a maximum ten points. That result saw him leap ahead of long-time leader Maurizio Cavalli, who scored just three points for Barry Hawkins reaching the last 16. Jacob Solomos also picked Murphy and he's just a point behind Cavalli in third. There are just two more counting events to go – the China Open and World Championship.

Eurosport commentators from countries including the UK, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Turkey, Norway, Hungary, Italy, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Romania, Holland & Flanders, Finland, The Netherlands, Russia and Greece are taking part in the competition by picking a player for each tournament. The winner at the end of the season will receive a £1,000 donation to a charity of their choice, provided by the World Championship sponsor Betfred.
Eurosport are providing extensive live coverage of snooker's biggest events this season. Here's how the Expert Picks competition works:
The remaining counting events are the China Open and World Championship. Each commentator must select one player before each event. But they cannot pick the same player more than twice during the season.
Players score points according to how far they go in the tournament as follows:
Winner = 10 points
Runner-up = 7 points
Semi-finals = 5 points
Quarter-finals = 4 points
Last 16 = 3 points
Last 32 = 2 points
Last 64 = 1 point
In events which don't use a flat 128 man draw (Shanghai Masters, Masters, World Championship) players losing their opening match will score 0 points, otherwise the scoring system will be as above. A running league table will be kept below throughout the season, with the commentator with the most points after the World Championship to receive the £1,000 charity prize from Betfred.
