Finally Mark Davis has made his second 147 at the Championship League.
Mark Davis has made his second 147 of the season at the Championship League in Coventry. The 44-year-old made a perfect break in the deciding frame of his winner’s group match with John Higgins to secure a 3-2 victory.
It's his second Championship League maximum in a short space of time. After spending 26 seasons on the tour, Davis joined snooker's 147 club in the final of last month’s group three, potting 15 reds with blacks and clearing the colours in the deciding frame to beat Neil Robertson 3-2. It was the 129th official maximum break in snooker history and the eleventh of the season. Davis follows on from Tom Ford who made a 147 at the recent German Masters in Berlin.
