Geet Sethi has decided to make a comeback to the Green Baize
Popularly known as Billiards Maestro or Green Baize Magician… the nine-time Cue Sports champion, Geet Sethi has decided to make a comeback to the Green Baize once again after a gap of five years.
He will be seen in action from 22nd October till 26th in World Open Billiards organized by World Billiards Limited at Leeds, England.
Geet played for 40 years and then gave a break in October 2013 after World Billiards Championship at Leeds, England and now after five years, he is once again making a comeback with his participation at Leeds itself.
His world titles include eight in billiards and one from team Snooker in 2006. He also won Gold at Asian Games for doubles billiards with his partner Ashok Shahdilya in Bangkok, 1998.
Geet is the only player since the inception of Cue Sports who has scored combination of 1000+ break (1276) in billiards and 147 (Maximum) in Snooker. This is a world record with a mention in Guinness Book of World Records.
During last 10 years, he also founded an NGO “Olympic Gold Quest” that supports India’s leading athletes in fulfilling their Olympic dreams.
