Some of snooker’s top stars at heading to India for the five-day tournament, which had to be delayed after flooding in September last year.
The Kerala region was left devastated, and the event was put back until Wednesday, February 27.
World Snooker boss Barry Hearn said: “The World Snooker Tour is fortunate to be able to visit Incredible India each year for this fantastic event. Everyone at World Snooker and the WPBSA has been devastated to hear about the horrendous flooding.”
John Higgins in the defending champion, and is heading to Asia to defend his title.
The tournament has been on the calendar since 2013, and along with Higgins, Anthony McGill, Michael White and Ding Junhui have all been crowned winners.
Some big names are sitting out the Indian Open, with the likes of Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump and Neil Robertson all staying at home rather than travelling to the event.
But there’s still a packed field looking to bag the £50,000 on offer to the winner.
