John Higgins going in as the defending champion in the upcoming Championship league.
The 2018 Championship League is an upcoming professional non-ranking snooker tournament which is due to take place from 2 January to 29 March. It will be the 11th staging of the tournament.
John Higgins is the defending champion, having defeated Ryan Day 3-0 in the 2017 final. As in the previous edition of the tournament Higgins will again be taking part in group 7, while Day will be participating in the opening group.
