Kothari Won the title of Reventon Masters Snooker

Indian cue player Sourav Kothari won the title of the Reventon Masters snooker tournament by defeating Australia's Johal Younger in a tough match here. Kothari defeated Johal 6-5 in the final of the Best of 11 frames. He is the first Indian to win this top snooker tournament of Australia Billiards and Snooker Council.

Kothari was called on a special invitation this year as he won the Reventon Classic Snooker in June this year, which is Australia's Triple Crown snooker competition. Kothari defeated Joe Minichi 5–1 in the semifinals while Johal defeated last year’s winner Steve Mifsud 5–2. Johal made a 3–0 lead, making a spectacular start to the final. Kothari won the next frame to make the score 1-3 but Johal won the fifth frame to take a 4–1 lead. Kothari won the sixth frame but lost the seventh frame, leading Johal to a 5–2 lead. Kothari then came back strongly, winning the next three frames to reduce the score to 5-5. Kothari won the match and the title by winning a very exciting decisive frame.
