PAGE WINS EUROPEAN UNDER-18 TITLE
Gifted 15-year-old Jackson Page won the EBSA European Under-18 title in Cyprus, beating Amir Nardeia 5-3 in the final. Page showed his talent at last month's Coral Welsh Open when he reached the last 32, in his first appearance in a pro tournament. He remains an amateur but hopes to earn a place on the World Snooker Tour. In Cyprus the Ebbw Vale cueman won all four of his matches in the group stage to reach the last 32, then won four more matches to reach the final before beating Israel's 17-year-old Nardeia.
Page now goes on to compete in the Under-21 category, which starts on Thursday, and then the senior category next week.
