RKG Snooker sponsored ace Indian Cueist Aditya Mehta defeated World Number 12 Barry Hawkins by 5-2 exhibiting solid performance of snooker.

On the first day of China open Qualifiers in iconic Guild Preston Guild hall RKG Snooker sponsored ace Indian Cueist Aditya Mehta rose to the occasion and defeated World Number 12 Barry Hawkins by 5-2 exhibiting solid performance of snooker.

The Indian ranked number 103 in World takes the first frame 91-0 with a break of 57. The London Masters semi-finalist last week, Barry Hawkins, came back in the second frame with a break of 53 and took the frame by 79-0 to level the frame score.

Barry takes the third frame by whisker of margin by 68-51 which proves to be his last frame of the match. Aditya shows true class in next four frames and won it by 59-45, 71-12, 73-0 and 67-30 to book the ticket for Beijing.

In another upset of the day Eden Sharav beats RKG Snooker sponsored Jamie Jones 5-3 to qualify for main tournament in Beijing.

Joe Perry continues his good form of London masters and trounced David John by 5-0.  Another title contender Shaun Murphy beats Sydney Wilson convincingly by 5-1. Allan Taylor upsets Ken Doherty by 5-3 and Alex Borg beats Jack Lisowski by 5-1.

Ashley Hugill beats Anthony Hamilton easily by 5-2. Ross Muir beats Dominic Dale by identical score of 5-2.

In one sided match Indian Open 2016 winner Anthony McGill beats Peter Lines by 5-1 to qualify for main tournament. Tian Pengfei beats Ian Preece by same score of 5-1very comfortably.

Martin Gould beats Lee Walker by 5-2. Robbie Williams beats Jamie Curtis-Barrett by 5-1. Mike Dunn beats Elliot Slessor by 5-2 to enter in round of 64.

Andy Hicks beats Luca Brecel by 5-3. Kurt Maflin beats Adam Duffy by 5-1. Ben Woollaston beats Igor Figueiredo by same score of 5-1.Hossein Vafaei Ayouri beats Dechawat Poomjaeng by 5-4 in evenly contested match.
