ROBERTSON DOCKED FRAME BUT STILL WINS

Neil Robertson suffered another mishap on his way to Barnsley but still managed a 5-2 win over Nigel Bond in the first round of the BetVictor European Masters qualifiers.
Former World Champion Robertson got stuck in traffic on the motorway en route to the Yorkshire town and arrived a few minutes late for his match against Bond. He has docked the first frame but recovered to take five of the next six with top breaks of 51, 99, 103 and 72.
In October, Robertson drove to the wrong Barnsley for the Yushan World Open qualifiers and had to forfeit his match. This time he’s still in the tournament and faces Gerard Greene in round two on Thursday, with the winner to go through to the final stages in Austria next month.
Mark Williams came from 4-3 down to beat Craig Steadman 5-4, making a break of 75 in the deciding frame.
Jimmy Robertson saw the defense of his title end at the first hurdle as he lost 5-3 to Martin O’Donnell, while Jordan Brown top-scored with 140 in a surprise 5-2 win over David Gilbert.
Kyren Wilson came from 4-3 down to beat Si Jiahui 5-4 while Scottish Open runner-up Jack Lisowski made a 123 in a 5-4 win over Hossein Vafaei.
