Thepchaiya Un-Nooh made the second 147 of his career
Thepchaiya Un-Nooh made the second 147 of his career at the BetVictor English Open on Tuesday.
Thailand’s Un-Nooh potted 15 reds with blacks and cleared the colours in the opening frame of his first round match against Soheil Vahedi.
World number 64 Un-Nooh made his only previous maximum at the 2016 Paul Hunter Classic. Prior to that he missed the final black on 140 at the 2015 UK Championship and again at the 2016 World Championship qualifiers.
Today’s 147 will earn the 33-year-old £15,000 from the rolling bonus for maximums at ranking events, plus another £2,000 for the tournament high break prize, as long as it is not equalled in the remainder of the event.
It’s the 142nd maximum in snooker history and third of the season.
