UK Championship 2016

The UK Championship is a professional men's ranking snooker tournament. It is the second biggest-ranking tournament, after the World Championship and is one of the Triple Crown events. Neil Robertson is the reigning champion.
The tournament will be held in York at York Barbican venue from 22nd November’2016 to 4th December’2016. The total prize money of the tournament is £850,000.
Ronnie O’Sullivan will face Thailand’s Boonyarit Keattikun in the first round of snooker’s UK Championship at the York Barbican.
The draw has been released for the tournament. It’s the sport’s first Triple Crown event of the season, with 128 players chasing the famous trophy and a top prize of £170,000.
Five-time UK Champion O’Sullivan will take on last year’s world under-21 champion Keattikun in the opening round on Wednesday, November 23.
Defending champion Neil Robertson will be up against Peter Lines on Thursday November 24. Judd Trump will take on Thai veteran James Wattana on Tuesday November 22, while World Champion Mark Selby will meet Andy Hicks on Thursday November 24.
The entire first round will take place over the first three days, with the 64 winners going through to the BBC-televised stages, which start on Saturday November 26.
RKG Snooker sponsored Indian Cueist Aditya Mehta will take on Luca Brecel of Belgium on Wednesday i.e, 23.11.2016 in first round.
