Mark Williams thrashed Andy Lee 5-1 to secure his place in the final stages of the China Championship.
Three-time World Champion Williams knocked in runs of 67, 65, 95 and 110 to progress to the last 64 in Guangzhou next month.
Mark Allen eased to a 5-1 win over Eden Sharav, firing breaks of 56, 99, 72, 51 and 54, while David Gilbert top-scored with 131 in a 5-2 win over Peter Lines.
Hossein Vafaei came from 4-2 down to edge out Jimmy White 5-4. The deciding frame came down to the colors and Iran’s Vafaei potted brown, blue and pink for victory.
China’s promising Luo Honghao saw off Mark Davis 5-2 while Ryan Day made a superb 69 clearance in the last frame to win a Welsh derby against Duane Jones 5-4.
The qualifiers run until Sunday at Barnsley Metrodome and entry for fans is free.
