About Bengal Snooker League' 2017
Bengal Premier League was introduced in Kolkata last year by the West Bengal Billiards association and was organized with lot of fanfare at the banquet halls of the Bengal Rowing Club. The league became the talk of the town as it was extensively covered by all sections of media including web. Daily advertisement in East India’s no. 1 news daily, the Telegraph, throughout the event created a kind of great hype and awareness never experienced before. Extensive branding inside and outside the venue, Billboards, a 16 page high quality brochure highlighting the team profile and team owners, participation of players from all clubs of Calcutta made the event a memorable one for all snooker enthusiasts of our city. DD Bangla covered the whole event including the inauguration and prize ceremony. A 25 minutes Capsule prepared by DD was telecast repeatedly and got good TRP.
This year the 2nd edition of the event will be hosted by the Saturday Club with three tables housed at their plush 80’x40’ banquet hall. Our aim is to promote and popularize this sport in our City of KOLKATA and provide incentives and opportunities to our almost all top National levels players to come and enthrall the snooker lovers of the with city with their exceptional talents and skills amidst stiff competition played under interesting formats. The event besides the obvious camaraderie and fellowship amongst the outstation and local playersprovides great learning experience to our 40 state level players who will be picking up useful tips from their respective marquee players of the teamthroughout the event especially while playing the alternate shot doubles.

For second Bengal Snooker League RKG Snooker bought the six players and the name of the team has been kept as 'RKG Snooker champs'
